A one-person workshop
About BitCraftery
BitCraftery is a UK sole trader making small, calm iPhone apps — the kind that do one thing, respect your attention, and keep your data to themselves. Weighly is the first of them.
Why Weighly exists
Most weight trackers want a subscription, an account, and a copy of your numbers on someone else's server. Weighly was built the other way round: it is free, it has no adverts and no in-app purchases, and your weights, goals and progress photos stay on your iPhone.
The idea behind it is simple. A single morning's reading tells you almost nothing — water, salt and sleep move the number more than fat does. What matters is the trend underneath, and you only see that if logging is quick enough that you keep doing it. Everything in the app is arranged around those ten seconds a day.
What BitCraftery makes
Weighly is a free weight tracker for iPhone. It charts your trend, keeps progress photos you can compare side by side, counts calories and macros with food search and barcode scanning, and shows your Apple Health workouts next to your weight. It speaks English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.
You can read the whole story of what it does on the Weighly home page, or get it from the App Store.
How we build
- Private by default. Your body is nobody's business. We collect as little as an app can, and never your weight — the details are in our Privacy Policy.
- No dark patterns. No streak guilt, no artificial urgency, no upsell wall in front of a feature you already installed the app for.
- Native and quiet. Standard iOS controls, light and dark themes, and nothing that moves when it doesn't need to.
- Answered by a person. Support email goes to the person who wrote the code.
