Account deletion
Delete your Weighly account
Deleting your account removes it, and everything held with it on our servers, for good. You can do it yourself in the app in well under a minute — or ask us to do it for you.
Delete it in the app
This is the quickest route, and the only one that can prove the account is yours. The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
- Open Weighly and go to the Account tab.
- Tap Settings.
- Under Data, tap Delete Account & All Data.
- Confirm twice. We ask twice because deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone.
You are signed out as soon as it is done. You are welcome back at any time — signing in again starts a fresh, empty account rather than restoring the old one.
What deleting removes
Deleted from our servers
Removed the moment you confirm — there is no waiting period and no copy kept in reserve:
- Your account and the sign-in identifier it is keyed on
- Your name and email address, if you chose to share them when you signed in
- Your app installations and push notification tokens, so reminders stop
- Your Help and Feedback messages, and any photos attached to them
Only ever on your device
Weighly does not upload these, so there is nothing on our side to delete:
- Your weight entries, goals and progress photos
- Your units, language, theme and reminder settings
Deleting in the app clears them from that device in the same step, and removing the app deletes them with it. If you ask us to delete your account by email, remove the app from your devices too — we cannot reach data that never left them.
How long we keep things
Your account and its server-side records are kept only while the account is active. Delete the account and they go with it, immediately.
Help and Feedback messages are kept for up to 12 months; if you delete your account before then, they are deleted along with it.
Where the law requires us to keep a record, we keep only what it requires. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy.
