Frequently asked questions

Is Weighly free?
Weighly is a subscription app with no adverts and nothing sold on. Weighly Premium is what lets you add entries: weight logs, progress photos, goals, food and workouts. It costs £24.99 a year, with the first month free, or £3.99 a month, with the first 7 days free. Those are UK prices. The App Store shows you your own currency, and whether you are eligible for a trial, before you confirm. Trials are for new subscribers. Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. If a subscription ends, everything already logged stays on your phone to look at.
What are the Calories and Workouts sections?
In Calories you log meals with food search and barcode scanning, and watch calories, protein, carbs and fat tick towards a daily target personalised to your goal. Workouts connects to Apple Health to show your workouts, heart rate and energy burned — and can turn any workout into a share-ready post or video for social media. Both sections are part of Weighly Premium, as is everything else you add to the app. You can open either one and look around before you decide: the pages are shown as a preview, with the measured figures blurred.
I was using Weighly before it became a subscription. What happens to me?
If you were already logging weights before the subscription started covering everything you add, logging a weight and setting a goal stay free for you, permanently. The app works that out on its own and remembers it, so reinstalling does not take it away. Progress photos, food, workouts and photo comparisons need Weighly Premium, as they do for everyone else.
How do I cancel, and what happens to my data?
Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Weighly. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Premium until the period you have paid for runs out. Everything you have already logged stays on your phone to look at afterwards. Cancelling deletes nothing.
How do I change my units (kg, lb, st)?
Open Settings in the app and choose your preferred unit. Existing entries are converted automatically for display.
How do I set or change my weigh-in reminder?
Reminders live in the app's Settings. If you are not receiving them, check that notifications are allowed for Weighly in iOS Settings → Notifications.
How do I change the app language?
Weighly follows your device language by default and also has an in-app language picker in Settings. It is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Where is my data stored?
Your weight entries, goals, progress photos, and food diary stay on your device — we do not upload them to our servers. Because of that, they are only backed up as part of your normal device backup; deleting the app deletes the on-device data with it. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, go to Account → Settings and choose Delete Account & All Data. This removes your account and all associated server-side data. If you cannot get to the app, email us at [email protected] and we will take care of it for you. The full detail is on our account deletion page.
